About the Journal

International Journal of Real Estate Studies (INTREST), formerly known as Malaysian Journal of Real Estate (MaJORE), is an academic journal devoted to the publication of original works that advance knowledge of theory, practice, and research across the real estate and land administration disciplines. The journal focuses on but not limited to global perspectives on the real estate domain, that are of importance to scholars, educators, students, practitioners, policy-makers, and consultants worldwide. The research covers multiple levels of analysis in the field of real estate, building performance, construction management, urban planning, land administration, and other related areas. This journal accepts both empirical and conceptual research papers with relevant methodological approaches. Besides that, INTREST also publishes short notes and book reviews.

Manuscripts are accepted for publication on the understanding that they have been submitted solely to the International Journal of Real Estate Studies and have not been published in part or whole previously by any other journal. International Journal of Real Estate Studies (INTREST) is published online with a frequency of two regular issues per year (June and December). For regular issues, INTREST does not charge any type of article processing charge (APC) or any type of article submission charge. However, for special issue publication, a meager fee may be imposed to cover the editorial expenses. Application to publish special issues is opened throughout the year. Interested applicants may submit such applications by sending us an email to intrest@utm.my.
